Sen. Cruz Visits With San Marcos Job Creators

Discusses economic development efforts in roundtable hosted by Greater San Marcos Partnership

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today attended a roundtable hosted by the Greater San Marcos Partnership with more than a dozen San Marcos-area job creators to discuss economic development and growth in the I-35 corridor. The roundtable took place at Mensor LP, an advanced manufacturer in San Marcos.

“A top priority of mine in the Senate from day one has been the creation of more good paying jobs and overall economic growth. And that’s true for a very simple reason: economic growth and opportunity is incredibly important to Texans in every corner of our great state,” Sen. Cruz said. “Here in Texas, unlike Washington, we get government out of the way because we know it’s not the government that creates jobs – it’s the people, and we need to once again unleash people across this country to do what they do best, which is innovate, expand, and create far more opportunities.”
