Sen. Cruz Introduces Bill Honoring Fallen Border Patrol Agent Donna Doss

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) this week joined Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in introducing the Donna M. Doss Memorial Act of 2020, a bill that would rename the U.S. Border Patrol Station in Rocksprings to honor Agent Doss. Agent Doss proudly served in the U.S. Border Patrol for more than 15 years and was killed in the line of duty on February 2, 2019. 

Upon introducing this legislation, Sen. Cruz said:

“The Border Patrol agents who serve Texas are everyday heroes, and Agent Donna Doss was no exception. For over fifteen years, Agent Doss served the Lone Star State selflessly and was steadfast in her commitment to protecting her country and the community. I’m proud to introduce this bill with Sen. Cornyn to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Agent Doss.”

Following the news of Agent Doss’ death, Sen. Cruz expressed his condolences to the Doss family and Texas Border Patrol community.
