Cruz News: June 3, 2018
June 3, 2018 Greetings, On Thursday, I joined President Trump to meet with the families and students of Santa Fe High School. In the face of unspeakable evil, the Santa Fe community is standing strong, and continues to demonstrate tremendous resolve. This week, the Department of Education announced $1 million in federal funds for the Santa Fe Independent School District through a Project School Emergency Response to Violence (Project SERV) grant. In Texas and across the country, the space industry generates tens of thousands of good paying jobs. This week, Politico highlighted my efforts to advance America’s leadership in space, including two bills I authored that have been signed into law. This year, we must take all the steps necessary to protect our communities from further hurricane devastation. June marks the beginning of hurricane season, and I urge my fellow Texans to utilize all available resources in order to be prepared for heavy rainfalls and floods. My Senate office continues to work to ensure swift and effective service to Texans and Texas communities in need of federal assistance following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. If you need additional information or assistance during the recovery and rebuilding process, please do not hesitate to contact my office or use the federal and state resources listed here.
