Sen. Cruz Statement on Bush Library Dedication

DALLAS, TX – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) today released the following statement regarding today’s ceremony dedicating the George W. Bush Presidential Library at Southern Methodist University:

“It was an honor to attend the opening of President Bush’s library today and pay tribute to our former president’s legacy. President Bush is a man of character and profound decency. And his resilience and strength of character, especially in the challenging days after 9/11, helped bring America together and get our nation back on its feet.

"Today was a bipartisan celebration of that character, that resiliency, that legacy. I was proud to serve on his presidential campaign--where I met my wife and the mother of our children--and I'm proud that Dallas and SMU will be the home of this incredible testament to George W. Bush's leadership."
