Names New State Director
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today announced he recently promoted former Deputy State Director Katharine Priddy McAden to State Director.
"Katharine has done a tremendous job at representing the people of Texas and I am happy she will continue to fight for Texans as our State Director," Sen. Cruz said. "She is committed to fighting for conservative principles, for limited government and to advance the cause of liberty. Her leadership and service will help ensure Texas continues to be well served."
Prior to serving as Sen. Cruz's Deputy State Director, McAden served as Operations Director for his 2012 campaign for Senate. With over 10 years' experience in Texas politics, McAden has worked in service to Texans in both the State Legislature and the United States Senate. She has uniquely worked for Texas' U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, and Texas' current Governor, Greg Abbott. Her experience includes Legislative Director for State Representative ‘Four' Price, Political Director for Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott's 2010 re-election Campaign, Central Texas Deputy Regional Director for U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, and Campaign Manager for a seat on the Texas Railroad Commission. McAden received her bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
