Sen. Cruz Issues Statement Regarding House Health Care Reform Agreement
Praises Rep. Meadows and Members of the House Freedom Caucus
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement regarding the House’s recent health care reform agreement:
“The agreement reached in the House on health care reform is a significant improvement from the original bill and would not have been possible without the hard work of the House Freedom Caucus, led by Chairman Mark Meadows. If this bill passes the House, it will fall to the Senate to further improve the bill and I am committed to working with my Senate colleagues on provisions to ensure we keep our promise to provide more choices for consumers, put people in control of their healthcare, and, most importantly, lower premiums.”
