"It's always a pleasure to visit the men and women of West Texas," Sen. Cruz said. "The number one priority of Texans all across the state is jobs and economic growth, and that continues to be my top priority in the U.S. Senate. More than 380,000 Texas jobs depend on free trade with Mexico, and I know Texans are closely monitoring the NAFTA renegotiations. As y'all know, there are vast oil and gas resources in Mexico that currently are not being adequately developed. I believe the greatest opportunity in NAFTA renegotiation is opening up access to the Mexican energy markets, which will produce thousands of high paying jobs on both sides of the border."
