Sen. Cruz Issues Statement to Recognize the Sanctity of Passover

HOUSTON, Texas - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in observance of Passover:

"Heidi and I wish a Chag Sameach to our Jewish friends tonight. As the sun sets and the first night of Passover begins, Jews all over the world will sit down around the Seder table, read from the Haggadah, and tell the story of the Israelites' liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. We pray for the freedom of those suffering subjugation and religious persecution all over the world, and for the peace of Jerusalem. L'shana haba'ah b'Yerushalayim. Next year in Jerusalem, Israel's eternal, undivided, and indivisible capital."
