Sen. Cruz Announces Staff Hire to D.C. Office
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today announced a new staff hire in his Washington, D.C. office. He has named Chris Jaarda as Legislative Director.

"His wealth of experience fighting for conservative principles in the private sector and on Capitol Hill will be invaluable in promoting the interests of Texans in Washington, D.C. Christopher M. Jaarda is a graduate of Furman University and Villanova University School of Law. He has worked in private legal practice, in the private sector and in the House of Representatives and Senate. He brings a wealth of Capitol Hill experience to the job that includes prior service as legislative counsel for former Rep. Mary Bono, former Senator John Ensign, and current Rep. Ken Buck. In addition, he has also previously worked in Senate Republican leadership both with the Senate Steering Committee and also at the Republican Policy Committee under Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. Chris lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and children.
