“REMEMBERING BOSTON AND WEST" [60 SECONDS]:

Hi, I’m Ted Cruz and this is the Freedom Minute.

This past week, all of us were horrified by the terror attack in Boston and the tragic explosion in West, Texas. Our hearts weep for those who were killed and wounded and for their families.

But, even in the midst of all this sadness, Americans have shown their incredible resilience.

Indeed, so many donations came flooding into West that only 48 hours after the explosion, the Mayor announced there were enough supplies to serve everyone in need.

And, together we all sang “Sweet Caroline” along with the people of Boston, imagining ourselves standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our countrymen at Fenway Park.

In the face of adversity, the best of the American spirit has always come shining through. Together, we will persevere.

Please keep the victims, their families, their friends, and our first responders in your prayers.

Thanks for listening. I’m Ted Cruz with the Freedom Minute.
