Sen. Cruz Applauds President Trumps Announcement Removing United States From Arms Trade Treaty
Urges Congress to continue working to remove remaining constraints and treaties that seek to limit Americans' Second Amendment rights
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today issued the following statement applauding President Trump for announcing the removal of the United States from the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT):
"I applaud President Trump for his announcement today finally and fully removing the United States from the Arms Trade Treaty. I have fought against the ATT for my entire tenure in the Senate, and last year I submitted an amendment to prohibit its implementation. I look forward to working with my colleagues and the administration in unwinding the U.S. from remaining constraints and treaties that seek to limit Americans' Second Amendment rights."
