Sen. Cruz Issues Statement Observing the 18th Anniversary of the September 11th Terrorist Attacks
Today, we stand together in remembrance of the fallen, and show a profound gratitude for the men and women who selflessly answered the call to defend our country
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement in observance of the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks:
"Eighteen years ago our country faced one of its darkest hours, as thousands of innocent lives were lost in an act of pure evil. In the wake of this terrorist attack, brave first responders ran towards the scene, many paying the ultimate price, and embodied the very best of our country.
"Today, we stand together in remembrance of the fallen, and show a profound gratitude for the men and women who selflessly answered the call to defend our country. The service of our U.S. Armed Forces, law enforcement, and first responders ensures that our nation continues to represent a beacon of freedom for all, even when our resolve is tested. These sacrifices will never be forgotten."
