Sen. Cruz Issues Statement on Baker Pattillo, Stephen F. Austin State University President

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement on the passing of Baker Pattillo, Stephen F. Austin State University President:

“Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to Baker Pattillo. His 52 years of loyal, dedicated service to Stephen F. Austin State University transformed the school and helped make it the higher education powerhouse it is today. He will be remembered as a treasured steward to SFA, the Nacogdoches community, and the state of Texas. Heidi and I send our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his wife Janice, and to the entire Pattillo family as they grieve the loss of a loving husband, father, and grandfather. May he rest in peace.”
