Sen. Cruz: May We Never Forget Our Fallen Warriors

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today released the following statement in commemoration of Memorial Day:

"This weekend, millions of Americans will gather in remembrance of those brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms. They defended our nation in far off places - in the jungles of Vietnam, the mountains of Korea, the battlefields of Europe, the desert sands of Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan, and a hundred islands and atolls in the Pacific. We pause to remember their tremendous courage in fighting to secure the gift of liberty. God bless each and every man and woman who made the ultimate sacrifice for each of us and our great nation; may we never forget them. And may God continue to bless the United States of America."
