Sen. Cruz: On Passover We Give Thanks for the Gift of Freedom

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in observance of Passover: 

“At sundown this evening begins the first night of Passover. Our Jewish friends will gather together at the Seder table and read from the Haggadah. They will recite the miraculous story of the Exodus celebrating the liberation of the Israelites from tyranny, bondage, and slavery in Egypt to freedom.

“Heidi and I wish a happy Passover to the Jewish community in Texas, America, Israel, and around the world.

“Chag Sameach.”
