WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was sworn into the 119th Congress today, as he embarks on his third term in the United States Senate as the U.S. Senator for Texas.

Upon being sworn into office, Sen. Cruz said, “Representing the Great State of Texas in the United States Senate is the honor of a lifetime. I am deeply humbled and immensely privileged to fight every day for thirty-one million Texans. This election was a clear mandate from the American people, and now we must roll up our sleeves and deliver real results: securing the border, creating jobs, unleashing American energy, defending our liberties, restoring integrity to the administration of justice, and defeating our enemies.
