Sen. Cruz: The Republican Majority's Removal of Regulatory Burdens Is a Win for Texas Business Owners
Travels to East Texas to tour TFP Nutrition and Atkinson Candy Company, visit with employees
LUFKIN, Texas – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today traveled to Nacogdoches and Lufkin. In Nacogdoches, he toured TFP Nutrition and visited with employees, before touring the Atkinson Candy Company in Lufkin.
In Nacogdoches, Sen. Cruz discussed the importance of eliminating bureaucratic red tape of burdensome federal regulations to help Texas small businesses flourish and grow.
“I am proud of the work that is being done by the hardworking men and women of TFP Nutrition, and it was an honor to visit with them during today’s tour,” Sen. Cruz said. “Business owners all across Texas have seen a profound impact as a result of the Republican majority’s leadership in eliminating burdensome regulation costs, helping businesses like TFP Nutrition thrive.”
Later, in Lufkin Sen. Cruz highlighted the GOP tax cuts passed under Republican leadership, aimed to help small business owners and hard-working Texans keep more of their hard-earned money.
“It was great to see first-hand the incredible work that is being done at East Texas’ very own Atkinson Candy Company,” Sen. Cruz said. “Texas’ economy continues to boom, but work remains to be done to further reduce the burden of federal regulations and pass pro-growth policies. I will continue to fight for the hardworking men and women of Texas in the Senate.”
