Sen. Cruz to Donate Salary During Government Shutdown to YES Prep.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Sen. Cruz Communications Director Sean Rushton released the following statement regarding the Senator's decision to donate his salary to YES Prep for each day of Harry Reid's government shutdown:

"Sen. Cruz has decided to donate his salary during the partial government shutdown to YES Prep (http://www.yesprep.org/), a group of charter schools providing an excellent education to low-income children in the Houston area. Sen. Cruz and his wife, Heidi, are long-time supporters of YES Prep."
