Sen. Cruz Urges All Texans to Be Prepared as 2018 Hurricane Season Begins

‘Taking common sense steps to protect our communities is critical to saving lives’

HOUSTON, Texas – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued the following statement recognizing the beginning of the 2018 hurricane season and urging Texans to take advantage of all hurricane and storm preparation resources.

“Last year Hurricane Harvey caused unprecedented damage to our Gulf Coast communities,” Sen. Cruz said. “While we continue efforts to rebuild we must also take all steps necessary to prepare for the next hurricane season ahead, which begins today. Taking common sense steps to protect our communities from damage brought on by severe weather is critical to saving lives and minimizing impact when natural disasters cross our path.”
